Daily Schedule

The hours of the preschool are from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Parents escort their children to the classroom where one of the classroom teachers will greet them at the door. Children are permitted to play for approximately 10-15 minutes until circle time at about 9:15 A.M. During the first circle time of the day, the children will discuss the daily calendar, weather, activities of the day, say the daily blessing, etc.

The schedule varies from day to day but in general there is a large block of time for the children to play in the various play areas (centers), work with one of the teachers on a project or activity and enjoy a snack. Each day the children play outside on the church playground or in a large room (Parish Hall) if there is inclement weather. Every class has music and creative movement each week. The three year olds and Pre K students attend Preschool Chapel every other week. This is a 10-15 minute Bible story time with the rector, Fr.Kaynor. There is a second circle time at the end of the school day. This typically involves reading a book to the children and/or discussing the current theme. Dismissal begins at 11:50 A.M. with outdoor pick up.

An optional after school program, Lunch Bunch, is offered from 12:00 P.M.-12:55 P.M., Monday through Thursday. This program provides for an additional social and gross motor experience. The children eat together (they bring their own lunch) and participate in an additional outdoor play time. The Lunch Bunch program can accommodate 16 children with two teachers.
